Every Company Counts (ECC)
believes that business services paid for with tax payer dollars
can provide a competitive advantage for Rhode Island’s small
business community.
To accomplish this goal we must learn from our small business customers
which services are delivering value – that is helping them
to generate growth in their business and create jobs for Rhode Islanders.
The ECC Businesses Services Scorecard accomplishes this by surveying
customers on a regular basis and posting the scores. We use this
information for three reasons.
1. So small businesses can see which services are delivering
the most value.
2. So we can do better where we need to deliver value.
3. So we can invest more tax payer dollars in services that deliver
the most value.

We ask questions to determine:
- How responsive we are to customer needs;
- Our understanding of customer challenges;
- Our reliability in delivering services;
- The value of our expertise to meet a customer
challenge;
- The professionalism with which we deliver services.
We rate our services based on a 1 – 5 scoring system. A rating
of “1” means low customer satisfaction and value. A
rating of “5” means high customer satisfaction and value.
